Eric’s October favs

Hi, I’m Eric Fisher. I am the owner of 4 salons, a beauty school and a business education company for beauty schools and professionals. I have won a few hair awards, a few business awards, a few industry awards. I have a passion for learning. Because of my own thirst for knowledge, I am also passionate about sharing with all of you. The Eric’s Favs series is just that. Me sharing with you the things I am inspired by right now.

What i am drinking:

I love black coffee in the morning. I do my best to drink a lot of water. But my adult beverage of choice is wine. I love a good red. For special occasions, my favorite wine is Sassicaia, an Italian Red. However, the Sassicaia is a little pricey! In light of that, I also have a house wine of choice. My go-to red is Beringer Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. And for warmer evenings or when a red isn’t quite the choice, my white wine go-to is Rombauer Chardonnay.

what i am listening to:

I don’t know how many people know this, but I used to be in a band! I played the drums and I love music. My taste in music is pretty eclectic but right now, I am listening to Edith Piaf. Edith Piaf was a French singer-songwriter, cabaret performer and considered to be one of the country’s widest known international stars. C’est Si Bon is a particular favorite of mine. This is currently the music I have playing as I unwind on the deck at the end of the day. I even find myself listening to her as I work!

what i’m working on:

Wigs! Cutting wigs, styling wigs. I love the versatility and creativity they provide. NAHA entries close on November 18, 2020 and I am doing photoshoots for my students and stylists so they can enter their work.

what quote is resonating with me:

We have an equal opportunity to be unequal.” Think about that for just a minute. What does that mean to you?

For me, this quote reminds me that every day we are all given the same opportunity. These are some trying times we live in and it’s easy to get sucked into the negativity and limitations. But the truth is, you can take this opportunity and run with it. For example, you can wake up and commit to having the BEST day. Decide you will provide the BEST services for your clients. Take adversity and make it a positive thing. OR, you can whine, complain and do nothing. In conclusion, it’s all up to you!
