In this industry, one of your top goals should be to get people talking about you. You want to become so well known for what you do that they think about you when people think about a specific service. The goal is to become so well-known that your name becomes a brand. So that people are familiar with the service that you offer.
People love to talk and share the latest and greatest thing with others. It makes them feel good, especially if they can recommend something they love. As a beauty professional, this should be your goal. You want your clients to talk about you with their friends and families. And recommend you to others. A personal recommendation is the most powerful marketing tool around. It’s more effective than any other kind of advertising.
You never know when one of your guests might convince ten others to check out your services. People are very influential, and they move
in groups. The truth is, referred guests will spend more money with you and visit you more frequently.
The question to ask yourself is, “Why should people talk about me?” Here are six things you can do to get your guests talking about you:
1. You’re doing something extraordinary and different than everybody else.
2. You create an emotional connection.
3. You’ve made your name into a brand.
4. You’re doing something cool or exciting.
5. You make people feel good.
6. You reinvent yourself and your business periodically.
It’s your responsibility to craft an experience that makes your guests want to tell everyone else about how amazing you are. So figure out what you can do to be less ordinary and more extraordinary! It’ll pay off.
Think about businesses that have wowed you. Why did you tell others about them? What did they do that made the experience unique and memorable? Then, determine what you can do in your own business to get people talking about you positively.
